Beginning Ballroom Class

Class that  will cover the basic steps of Smooth Style Ballroom dances - Waltz, Foxtrot, and Tango.  No Partner is needed.
Belly Dancing

Learn to dance by basic drill in fun combinations.  Using both slow movements with fast steps we'll get you dancing in your very first class.  All basic movements are taught in a six week cycle including posture and body awareness, zils and music.  You're welcome to join the class after the course is started as we have plenty of review built into each class.  Taught by Fat Chance Belly Dance certified instructor, Amy Magnuson.

Shutterbug Club

The Sherman Shutterbug Club is a club for all those interested in photography.  Improve your skills, learn from others, and share your ideas, concepts, and techniques.  Monthly meetings will consist of critiques, hands-on workshops, and photo assignments.  

The assignment for November 28th is Feet or Feat.  As normal, the assignment is left up to your interpretation.  Email your photos that you have taken in any Sherman Park or during any Parks and Recreation activity.  Just show up!

Aikido

Aikido is a responsive martial art in which the practitioner uses off-balances and an attacker's own strength and momentum to gain control instead of attempting specific techniques to prevail.  Aikido was invented in Japan in the early 20th century.  Aikido is taught by John Heath who has 30 years experience in Aikido.  The class is open to adults ages 18 and older.
