It's time again for the Feinstein Foundation National $1 Million Giveway to Fight Hunger!
The foundation will give Visions Of Sugarplums an additional percentage of the grand total of gifts of money and food products that we can raise between March 1 and April 30.
The exact amount depends on the number of organizations that apply and the amount of money that they raise during these two months, but with our summer program beginning in only three months, the Feinstein grant could make a real difference to us again this year as it has the past six summers.
So -- if you'd like to make a contribution to VOS during March or April, it will go further than ever before. We just have to receive the gifts between March 1 and April 30.
If you'd like to give money: Please make checks to Visions of Sugarplums and send them to 501 Spur 316, Suite 104, Pottsboro, TX 75076 -- but please do it BEFORE April 30. Your gift is tax-deductible to the extent legally permitted.
If you'd like to give food: Look through your pantry -- maybe you bought something for a recipe you never made or maybe your canned goods are near expiration and need to be replaced -- and bring us a few cans or boxes of food. These for a dollar each in the Feinstein Challenge. Call me at 903.786.7611. I'll be glad to pick them up.
Please call or email if I can tell you more -- virgie.holbrook@hotmail.com or 903.786.7611 -- or check out the Feinstein Foundation website --
feinsteinfoundation.org.
Many, many thanks for all you do for our kids, Virgie
