A Denison-based band has been around for years with two CDs under their guitar straps, chosen by the public as the "Best Texoma Band" award several years running, and shared billing with Willie Nelson, Jack Ingram, Pat Green, the Randy Rogers Band, Charlie Robison, and a myriad of performers of national and regional renown.

Scene In Town
Dustin Perkins Band is continuing to make their own history, their own mark in the music world, and their tenacious climb from “local” to “regional” status continues it’s journey upward.

Dustin Perkins Band is pulling out all the stops.
Dustin Perkins Band, assembled with members, Dustin Perkins, Colton Gilbreath, Michael Waitt, and Nathan Brown, is currently taking the Texas country scene by storm.
With Dustin’s debut album “I’d Write You a Song” he not only stayed busy enough to eat, but also exceeded his expectations enough to quit his job, build a band, and make the music business his sole career. With members ranging from hard rock to indie to country, the live show that comes a long with the Dustin Perkins Band is unrivaled.
With songwriting being main priority, Dustin starts with the basis and hooks the audience. The melodic and tasteful guitar playing of Colton, accent the melody with pristine accuracy. And the rhythm section consisting of Nathan, and Michael keep the song grooving, All adding a unique and very personal spin on each song. With a show under their belts such as the Super Bowl Owners suite at Cowboys Stadium in 2011, the Dustin Perkins Band is pulling out all the stops.
After playing non stop promoting on the album “I’d Write You a Song,” the Dustin Perkins Band is now getting ready to release their sophomore album in fall of 2011 featuring the single “Luckiest Man Alive.” Dustin Perkins Band are not only scheduling full time national touring to promote the new album, but also nation wide distribution, international touring, and international distribution.
The Dustin Perkins Band clearly has a lot on their plate for 2012, but, as quoted by Dustin, “this band was founded on hard work and constant progression.”
