Welcome to TexomaConnect.com –

TexomaConnect.com is a community website featuring news, events and resources for the Greater Texoma Area of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma – areas that surround Lake Texoma. 

Creator B.J. Kirkpatrick has folded together the resources and talents of area Chamber of Commerce organizations, The Lake Texoma Association, the West End Association, civic and service organizations, local schools and charities to present a central clearing house of resources, events and entertainment in the area.  B.J. updates the directories and information on the pages of TexomaConnect.com regularly so we hope you come back often to see what is new.

Our objectives are very clear:  Promote the Greater Texoma Area as a great place to live, work and play. Lake Texoma is a huge influence on the area but more important, B.J. wanted to let folks know about the people, places and things that make the “Great” part real in Greater Texoma. 

About B.J. Kirkpatrick

A 35 year veteran of the real estate and mortgage banking industries, B.J. launched TexomaConnect.com in October of 2009 with the desire to publish a website that showcased all the enormous talent in the Greater Texoma area. 

Growing up in a suburb of Dallas, B.J.’s summer vacations and long holiday weekends were most often spent camping, fishing and skiing on Lake Texoma.   After 15 years of job related relocation around the country she and her family returned to Texas to stay.  They almost immediately sought a lake home in the area they loved – Lake Texoma. 

She lives with her husband of 40+ years, Bob and their three grandchildren in the Lake Texoma area.  She is currently the Marketing Coordinator for the Sherman Branch of Guild Mortgage Company.  When she isn’t helping loan officers and area realtors with marketing, or working on her passion, Texomaconnect.com, you might find her in her gardens, on the golf course or cooking up a gourmet meal for family or friends.  She currently serves on the Keep Pottsboro Beautiful Commission and volunteers for various local charities.
